Oncology and Haematology Clinical Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Lead/Ward Sister to join our team at the South West Wales Cancer Centre, Swansea Bay University Health Board.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced nurse to lead our Oncology and Haematology ward. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing visible, professional nursing leadership, support, supervision, and guidance to the team. They will also be responsible for the safe delivery of all aspects of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) administration and will work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical advice and undertake management and monitoring activities in line with legal and professional requirements.
- Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Senior Charge Nurse or Deputy Charge Nurse.
- Responsible for maintaining both clinical and staff governance.
- Manage a team of nurses delivering SACT and provide supervision to junior staff.
- RN qualification.
- Oncology/Haematology experience.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Substantial post-qualifying experience.
- SACT competent.
- UKONS triage experience.
- Post-graduation Cancer qualification.
