The Role:

We are seeking a Night Support Worker to join our team at Aurora Boveridge College. As a Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our students with their evening routine, mentoring and guiding them in their evening activities, sports, or hobbies, and ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the night.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with their evening routine, including preparing them for bed and ensuring they settle for the night
  • Mentor and guide students in their evening activities, sports, or hobbies, both on and off site
  • Provide emotional support and a listening ear for students who may be struggling
  • Work closely with the day team to ensure a smooth handover and continuity of care
  • Ensure the health and medical needs of students are met throughout the night

Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
  • Knowledge of autism and mental health needs an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
