About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Manager to lead our dedicated team of professionals in providing high-quality care and education to young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of the preschool, including planning activities, arranging resources, and staff rotas.
  • Staff management, including recruitment, induction, supervision, and appraisal.
  • Parent/carer liaison and communication.
  • Continuous monitoring of quality, standards, risk, safeguarding, and inclusive practice in the setting.
  • Updating parents/carers with their child's progress and behaviour.
  • Managing enrolment, payment, and government funding.
  • Developing and implementing an age-appropriate timetable of annual events and activities.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the nursery budget.
  • Creating a secure environment where children feel safe, can grow confidently, and are valued.
  • Collaborating with external professionals to ensure children receive the support and services they require.
  • Commitment to promoting the ethos and values of the preschool to ensure the best outcomes for children.
Requirements
  • A minimum full and relevant Level 3 qualification in early years and childcare, with at least two years' recent experience within a nursery or preschool setting.
  • Previous experience in management and a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • A solid understanding of Ofsted requirements and procedures.
  • Proven experience in running or helping to run a similar setting.
  • Sound IT skills and ability to use nursery management software, social media platforms, and online portals effectively.
  • An understanding of the varied needs of children and how to adapt and support accordingly to meet their individual needs.
Working Arrangements

The post is available on a full or part-time basis, with a flexible option to work 4 days a week. A minimum of 24 hours per week is required. The post is offered on a permanent basis, with a salary between £ per hour, dependent on qualification and experience.
