Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Roofing Specialist to join our Repairs and Empty Homes team. This is a permanent full-time position, offering 39 hours of work per week, from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing high-quality installations and repairs of roofing systems, utilizing appropriate materials such as tiles, wood shingles, and built-up felt.
  • Conducting associated tasks to meet quality standards and support organizational objectives for first-time fixes while ensuring excellent customer service.

  • Perform remedial works with a focus on quality, ensuring a customer-oriented maintenance service.
  • Demonstrate essential skills including:
    • Proven competence in your primary trade.
    • Experience that enables you to complete repairs on the first visit.
    • Ability to work in a customer-focused environment while meeting performance targets.
    • Methodical work habits, adherence to procedures, and accurate record-keeping.
    • Independence in your work, showcasing strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Decision-making and problem-solving capabilities, seeking guidance when necessary.
    • Physical capability to perform tasks and lift weights in line with Health and Safety regulations.
    • Comfortable working at heights with the necessary stamina and balance for various roofing types.
    • Safe operational practices, considering environmental factors and potential risks.
    • Exemplification of the company’s core values.
    • A full, clean UK Driving License.
    • Understanding and application of health and safety regulations relevant to roofing work, particularly regarding working at heights.

Qualifications Required

  • NVQ Level 2 (City & Guilds) in Roofing Occupations or an equivalent recognized qualification in the relevant trade.

Desirable Qualifications

  • PASMA certification.
  • CISRA Scaffolding Part I certification.
