Position Overview

This role involves overseeing the safe execution, planning, and evaluation of intricate construction and maintenance initiatives. The successful candidate will ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies, standards, and regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate or an equivalent qualification
  • Proven experience within the construction sector, especially in residential projects or Tier 1 contracting
  • Active membership in a recognized professional organization, with a goal of achieving Chartered status

Key Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with Construction Design and Management (CDM) Regulations
  • Implement strategies to mitigate risks and foster a positive safety culture
  • Advocate for the company's health, safety, and environmental approach through site inspections and discussions
  • Assist in the deployment of the ActivSHEQ database and other safety standards
  • Conduct both formal and informal safety reviews on-site
  • Provide guidance and training on health, safety, and environmental matters
  • Investigate and document safety incidents, ensuring that recommendations are acted upon
  • Maintain effective communication with regulatory bodies
