Equity Hedge Fund Trade Support Analyst – Boutique Hedge Fund Operations
Martis Search is collaborating with a boutique hedge fund startup to recruit a temporary Equity Hedge Fund Trade Support Analyst. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team during an exciting phase of the company's growth.
The hedge fund focuses on Equity Long/Short strategies, and the position is situated on the Trading Floor alongside the Front Office Investment team, which includes the CEO, Fund Managers, Analysts, and Sales & Marketing professionals.
In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Operations/COO, and it is essential to have a solid background in a senior Equity Trade Support position within a small hedge fund environment.
While familiarity with Enfusion as an Order Management System (OMS) is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. Additionally, experience in Compliance or Disclosure Reporting from an operational standpoint will be viewed favorably by the Head of Operations/COO.
Given the imminent fund launch, the client seeks candidates who are available to start immediately or within a short notice period. This position initially offers a temporary engagement with a strong potential for permanent placement or extension, reflecting the early-stage nature of the business.
The role reports directly to the experienced Head of Operations/COO, who will provide comprehensive on-the-job training, allowing you to learn from a seasoned professional in the industry.
Applicants should possess a minimum of two years of experience in Equity Hedge Fund Trade Support, ideally from an institutional hedge fund or boutique asset management background. The asset classes involved include Global Cash Equities, CFDs, Futures & Options, and FX.
This is a growth-oriented business with a close-knit team environment, where collaboration and teamwork are highly valued.
As part of the company's policy, all employees are required to work on-site five days a week, with no flexibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the complete trade life cycle, including trade matching, processing, support, settlement inquiries, corporate actions, and NAV/valuation interactions.
- Coordinate with third-party outsourced operations administrators, prime brokers, and counterparties.
- Possess a strong understanding of the FCA regulatory framework for investment compliance and UCITS fund regulations, with knowledge of Disclosure Reporting being a significant advantage.
- Demonstrate experience with buy-side order management systems and portfolio management systems, with a preference for Enfusion or similar hedge fund OMS.
Compensation
The daily rate is competitive, ranging from £60,000 to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience, with potential for higher compensation based on qualifications.
