We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team as a CAMHS Principal Clinical Psychologist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a leadership role, contributing to the transformation of psychological therapies within community settings.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert assessment and treatment for complex psychological presentations, working closely with clinical teams to develop individual care plans.
  • Teach, train, and supervise others within the discipline, as well as members of other disciplines, on psychological theory and interventions related to complex psychological presentations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the borough's plans for integrated psychological therapies, working collaboratively with senior colleagues.
  • Work with service managers, psychological therapies workforce, and primary care networks to take forward the vision for transformation of psychological therapies within community settings.

As a CAMHS Principal Clinical Psychologist, you will be part of a wider psychological therapies service within Newham, offering a range of specialist services.

Requirements:
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council and a professional qualification in Clinical/Counselling Psychology or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • Experience of working as a qualified Psychological Therapist, including substantial post-qualification experience within Adult Mental Health.
  • Experience of providing teaching, training, and clinical supervision for interventions and treatments for a range of psychological presentations.
  • Experience of supervising qualified Psychologists and/or psychotherapists and other staff working in mental health settings.
