Job Summary:

Elevation Recruitment Group is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join a leading business in the European Finance Centre. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for driving accurate period-end reporting, maintaining balance sheet integrity, and mentoring junior staff.

About the Role:

As a Financial Accountant, you will report to the Financial Controller and be responsible for:

  • Overseeing monthly financial accounting for EFC EMEA entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborating with FP&A, in-country finance, operations, and HR to provide precise reporting and support business decisions.
  • Providing expertise to internal and external auditors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Preparing and approving balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conducting detailed variance analysis on financial reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Supporting year-end statutory and tax compliance, ensuring timely submission of required documents.
  • Maintaining SOX compliance and handling other ad-hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA part or fully qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Ambitious, proactive, and eager to learn, with a strong desire to grow in a finance career.
  • Knowledge of SAP (preferred) and a European language (a plus)
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
