Underwriting Portfolio Performance Manager

We're seeking a seasoned Underwriting Portfolio Performance Manager to join our A&H Team at a global insurance leader & Syndicate.
As the Underwriting Portfolio Performance Manager (A&H), you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and growing the A&H portfolio in the Lloyd's market. You'll collaborate closely with brokers, clients, and internal teams to achieve profitable growth, bringing a balanced approach to risk management.
You'll take ownership of the strategy to expand the A&H business within Lloyd's, focusing on achieving a balance between growth and profitability. Your expertise in assessing complex risks will be key, ensuring compliance with both company and Lloyd's standards while developing tailored solutions for clients.
Relationship-building will be a major part of your job, as you engage with brokers, clients, and coverholders to explore new opportunities and strengthen existing connections.
In addition, you'll keep a close eye on the performance of the A&H portfolio, analysing data and trends to adjust your approach and maximize results. Innovation is also a big part of this role—working with product development teams to identify new opportunities and customize offerings.
This role will see you collaborating with underwriters, claims experts, actuaries, and compliance teams to ensure a smooth, cohesive approach to underwriting.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone with at least five years of experience in Underwriting or Risk management, especially within the Lloyd's of London market. You're strategic, able to see the bigger picture, and can translate that vision into actionable plans. You've got a knack for analysing details and making decisions that drive profitability, while still being able to communicate clearly with brokers and clients to build trust and secure business.
You understand how the Lloyd's market operates, from its regulations to the latest industry trends. A CII qualification or similar would be a plus, as well as a background in Business, Insurance, or Risk Management.
