About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Practitioner to join our Children and Young People's Community Eating Disorder Service team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a comprehensive service to children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to support individuals and their families.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, psychiatrists, and dietitians, to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training to maintain expertise and contribute to service development.
  • Work closely with the paediatric team to support inpatient refeeding when necessary.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience in a mental health setting.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with eating disorders is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for eating disorders, including family-based therapy.
