About the Role
As a Small Works Fire Engineer, you will work closely with the service operations manager and wider branch network to complete 4–8 hour work orders and generate extra revenue into the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with recommendation team and engineers to drive opportunities
- Work with commercial sellers and key account managers for leads not suitable for install
- Responsible for quotes for all small works that come via the recommendation team, commercials, KAMs, or other outlets such as the office admin
- Provide excellent customer care (from understanding needs to keeping contact with ETA's, timescales, etc.) Manage each order (including stock orders) throughout the process of quotation and right through to the signing off the works
- Follow up on recommendations and quotes, ensuring the customer understands the reasoning and positive impact our upgrades will have
- Look for upsell opportunities, if we are upgrading signalling then is there potential for a panel upgrade?
Requirements
- Experienced fire engineer with a deep knowledge of fire alarm systems
- Ability to lift and climb ladders – it would be an advantage if you had an IPAF 3a & b cherry picker license
- Always deliver excellent customer service
