Job Title: Learning Mentor - Westminster

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Mentor to join our team at ERS Education Ltd. in Westminster. As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the emotional, physical, and social development of pupils in our Secondary Alternative Provision schools.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and monitoring pupil progress, identifying areas that require improvement, and supporting teachers in preparing materials that meet the development requirements of children. You will also be responsible for creating an encouraging learning environment for pupils and demonstrating excellent knowledge of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guide and monitor pupil progress to identify areas that require improvement.
  • Support the emotional, physical, and social development of pupils.
  • Prepare classrooms prior to lessons and clean up afterwards.
  • Help teachers in preparing materials that meet the development requirements of children.
  • Organise and supervise pupils during project and sporting activities.
Person Specification:
  • Ability to communicate clearly with teachers and younger individuals.
  • Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for pupils.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Understanding and sensitivity towards children.
  • Excellent knowledge of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred).
  • Teaching Assistant experience (1 year preferred).
Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:30am - 3:30pm.

Salary:

£95.00 - £110.00 per day.
