Cybersecurity Engineering and Advisory Role

At Thales, we are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineering and Advisory professional to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our systems and data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity test plans to ensure robust security measures are in place
  • Uphold the Information Systems Security Policy and provide tools and resources to ensure security requirements are met
  • Manage vulnerabilities and risks to customers and detect, analyze, and qualify incidents and threats
  • Carry out security assessments of cryptography implementation and assist in the drafting of files for evaluation by the French Administration or approved bodies
  • Assist customers in developing Operational Technology security practices
Requirements:
  • Master of Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with a speciality in Cryptology, Control systems, or Cybersecurity
  • Familiarity with data analysis, data processing, and IT and cyber security
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and customer focus
  • Effective communication and team-player skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to keep up to date with new risks and countermeasures
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of relevant information security standards, e.g. UN-R155, UN-R156, ISO 21434, ISO 27001, and ISO 27005
  • Ability to provide specific recommendations on technical environments and apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts
  • In-depth knowledge of programming languages and ability to work with customers and technical teams
  • Ability to explain rules to users and demonstrate diplomacy, listening skills, and persuasion
  • Good legal knowledge of security and IT law and experience with cybersecurity risk analyses
