About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a low loader HGV/LGV C+E vehicle, transporting materials to various sites across the UK. This is a permanent role with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the lorry and drag trailer are regularly inspected and any defects are reported to the fitter and office.
  • Plan and execute journeys safely and legally, ensuring loads are secure and materials are delivered to the correct site.
  • Liaise with the planer foreman and operatives to ensure smooth operations and teamwork.
  • Work safely and in accordance with current driving regulations.
  • Record planning loads and tip details on load transfer tickets.
  • Comply with company standards and procedures, and maintain regular contact with the NRP Transport Manager.

Requirements:

  • Valid LGV (HGV) Class 1 licence.
  • A valid Digital Tacho Card.
  • A valid CPC Qualification Card.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the aggregates industry.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable in working approach.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
