Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Leasehold Lawyer to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing sound and researched advice to senior officers and facilitating informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on leasehold management and debt collection, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Conduct research and brief Counsel and/or Consultants and Expert Witnesses as necessary.
  • Negotiate and conclude contractual arrangements with external agencies, leaseholders, and freeholders.
  • Assist in preparing and conducting cases involving debt recovery on behalf of Tenant Management Organisations.
  • Provide advice to Tenant Management Organisations to ensure efficient debt recovery.

Requirements:

  • Substantial experience of working in a mixed tenure environment on a larger residential portfolio.
  • Experience of representing the Council at First Tier Tribunal and County Court.
  • Ability to prepare relevant paperwork for First Tier Tribunals and County Court.
  • Experience of making decisions and researching topics.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated and committed to providing a service to customers.
  • Experience of using a wide range of computer packages.
