Senior Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced A&E Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert generalist care within the primary care setting, including Public Health Nursing and First Contact nursing for adults and children.
You will work closely with qualified staff to provide patient care, reflecting the quality of standards, values, and behaviours of our Health Board. Your role will involve a range of assigned tasks, including direct and indirect care for the benefit of patients, in accordance with agreed protocols.
As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for ensuring that all policies and procedures are observed, and meet the UHB requirements contained in the Health and Safety Policy. You will also be expected to assist in the development of policies relevant to your specialty.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert generalist care within the primary care setting, including Public Health Nursing and First Contact nursing for adults and children.
- Work autonomously to co-ordinate the care needs of patients with chronic diseases.
- Delegate duties to junior staff, as appropriate, and support their Continuing Professional Development.
- Utilise counselling skills to provide empathetic care to vulnerable adults and those with special needs and learning difficulties.
