About the Role:

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Architect to join their team in Edinburgh. As a key member of the company, you will be responsible for leading architectural projects and contributing to the growth and success of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
• Develop and implement architectural designs that meet client needs and exceed expectations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and identify potential issues.
• Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and designs to clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
• Participate in business development activities, including identifying new business opportunities and developing proposals.

Requirements:

• ARB registered/RIBA qualified.
• At least 6 years of post-Part Three UK-based architectural experience.
• Proven track record of working on residential and heritage projects.
• Substantial experience in project management and team leadership.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong technical abilities and proficiency in AutoCAD and/or ArchiCAD.
• Experience working across the RIBA stages and at senior level.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
