About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Developer to join our team at Allegiance Technology Ltd. As a Power Platform Developer, you will play a key role in designing and developing interactive and visually compelling Power BI dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Power BI Development
  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to our clients.
  • Utilize data modeling, DAX, and Power Query to transform data into meaningful insights.
  • Optimize report performance and ensure efficient data loading processes.
Data Integration and Management
  • Integrate data from various sources, including SQL databases, cloud services, and Excel.
  • Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all Power BI reports.
  • Manage Power BI datasets, workspaces, and dataflows effectively.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other developers to deliver comprehensive BI solutions.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to maximise the utilisation of Power BI reports.
Continuous Improvement
  • Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance existing Power BI solutions for better performance and user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of internal Power BI standards and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
  • Experience with SQL and database design.
  • Must be based in England and able to work remotely.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with advanced Power BI features such as Row-Level Security (RLS), embedding Power BI in applications, and Power BI REST API.
  • Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
