Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced support staff to join our team at a partner school in Harrogate. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting pupils with SEMH needs and be able to maintain a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to pupils with SEMH needs, adapting to their unique requirements and needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to promote social and learning skills.
- Implement positive behavior management techniques, including Team Teach or other relevant training.
- Intervene in challenging situations, using de-escalation techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
- Meet the necessary qualifications and training requirements for this role, including a Psychology degree or relevant experience.
- Hold a valid driving license, as the school location requires transportation.
Requirements
- At least 3 months' residency and Right to Work in the UK.
- Overseas Criminal Clearance.
