Hutcheon Mearns Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant / Audit & Accounts Senior to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial advice and accountancy services, including taxation, audits, payroll, bookkeeping, and business planning.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing annual accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships, as well as assisting with planning and undertaking audits. They will also be expected to coach and support junior members of the team on a day-to-day basis.
The firm is looking for someone with strong general practice experience, accounts preparation experience, and skills within a professional practice. The ideal candidate will also have strong client relationship building and commercial awareness, as well as IT experience including Excel, Sage, and Xero.
The firm offers a competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000, as well as study support if required. Real opportunities to progress within the firm are also available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare annual accounts for sole traders, limited companies, and partnerships
- Assist with planning and undertaking audits
- Coach and support junior members of the team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Provide financial advice and accountancy services
Requirements:
- Part or recently ACCA / CA qualified
- Strong general practice experience
- Accounts preparation experience and skills within a professional practice
- Strong client relationship building and commercial awareness
- IT experience including Excel, Sage, and Xero
