Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team at SRM Recruitment Limited. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in managing and processing financial transactions for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, verify, and reconcile invoices for our clients
  • Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and organised financial records in line with company policies
  • Communicate with internal departments and external vendors regarding payment issues or discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing AP reports and accruals
  • Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, particularly German VAT requirements
  • Continuously improve accounts payable processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in accounts payable, with European entity exposure (German experience highly desirable)
  • Solid understanding of European VAT regulations, ideally German VAT
  • Proficiency in financial software systems (Business Central is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors and internal teams
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are highly beneficial
