About This Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Account Manager - B2B Gift Cards to join our team. As a key member of our commercial development team, you will be responsible for managing our B2B Gift Card Program for a leading UK grocer. Your primary objective will be to drive the growth of existing customers through strategic category management, promotional planning, and account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management: Serve as the dedicated point of contact for the B2B Gift Card Program, ensuring seamless communication with internal and external stakeholders.
- Category Management**: Proactively drive the growth of existing customers through best-in-class category management, promotional planning, and formal account management.
- P&L Management**: Manage and review account P&Ls, developing plans to improve profitability and achieve agreed targets.
- Growth Planning**: Create and execute a 3-year growth plan for the B2B Gift Card Program, identifying opportunities for expansion and improvement.
- New Business Development**: Identify, target, and support the Sales Manager - B2B Gift Cards in securing new customers and building a robust new business pipeline.
- RFP/RFI Submissions**: Create and deliver RFP/RFI submissions for new business opportunities, presenting proposals to external contacts at all levels.
- Commercial Modeling**: Build commercial models for proposed deals, collaborating with the Commercial Development Director and Head of International Finance as needed.
- Project Management**: Interact with key international resource functions to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and successful project outcomes.
- Reporting**: Produce and manage the communication of weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting cycles.
- Marketing Planning**: Create annual marketing plans to support business objectives, working closely with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement effective marketing strategies.
- Process Improvement**: Continuously strive to improve processes and efficiencies, implementing new technologies to support the role and department.
Requirements
- Experience**: 5 years of proven experience in managing retail gift card programs.
- Commercial Acumen**: Commercially astute and strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the gift card industry.
- People Management**: Experience in people management, with a focus on building and leading high-performing teams.
- Relationship Building**: Ability to build strong relationships with partners, customers, and colleagues to achieve business goals.
- Communication**: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present to internal and external stakeholders.
- Technical Skills**: Highly proficient in Microsoft products, with excellent presentation and commercial modeling skills.
- Organizational Skills**: Highly organized with acute attention to detail, exceptional business skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Travel**: Ability to travel in the UK as needed.
