Role Overview:
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will assist in various phases of project development, preparing procedures and compiling reports to ensure the smooth progression and effectiveness of each initiative. Collaborating with a team of Project Engineers, you will engage at all project levels, from proposals to execution, with expectations to visit client sites both onshore and offshore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the technical setup and execution of projects.
- Assist in drafting and managing construction and environmental method statements, along with other necessary documentation.
- Conduct investigations as needed.
- Help prepare technical specifications, calculations, and designs for CAD documentation.
- Facilitate the interpretation of client technical specifications, supporting all technical and commercial project aspects.
- Contribute to the design and documentation of civil and structural project components.
- Organize and prioritize tasks within the overall project timeline and client needs.
- Participate in project meetings, contributing insights and taking notes as required.
- Oversee progress monitoring mechanisms and report against project plans, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Assist in managing costs and schedules to ensure adherence to agreed budgets and timelines.
- Prepare daily progress reports while offshore.
- Support the management of third-party contractors to ensure equipment is suitable for use.
- Assist in justifying contractual variations during projects to uphold subsequent commercial claims.
- Interpret client requirements, addressing design parameters and engineering challenges, ensuring solutions are implemented.
- Provide supervision for grouting operations, including mechanics and technicians on and offshore.
- Assist in managing subcontractor expeditions.
- Timely produce timesheets and ensure accurate recording of hours worked offshore.
- Support project engineering reviews and assist in resolving any arising issues.
- Understand and ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies while on and offshore.

- Strong understanding of Human Factors and their role in incident prevention.
- Comprehensive knowledge of behavioral-based safety systems.

Qualifications & Experience:
- MEng or BEng in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- Possession of a full U.K. driving license.
- Basic Pro Engineer / CAD training is desirable.
- Previous experience in an offshore organization is advantageous.
- OGUK Medicals (training can be provided).
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary up to £32,000.
