Join Our Team:
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented individuals to join our Senior Maintenance Engineering team. This role focuses on maintaining and enhancing the technologies within the Amazon Warehouse and Delivery Network.

Role Purpose:
The Senior Maintenance Engineering Technician is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting timely preventative maintenance, and enhancing equipment availability through ongoing improvements.

Shift Requirements:
This position may involve non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exemplify health and safety best practices and ensure compliance among team members.
  • Engage in hands-on work while demonstrating expert knowledge of all Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to fellow technicians during shifts.
  • Assist the line manager in supervising operations in their absence.
  • Ensure high equipment availability through effective troubleshooting and prioritization.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems across the European network.
  • Foster positive working relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Understand and apply Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and performance metrics.
  • Manage contractor relationships effectively.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Completion of a full engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification (minimum NVQ level 3).
  • Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines, with relevant experience in automation or complex MHE environments.
  • Solid foundational knowledge of PLC-based control systems.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for proactive maintenance planning and reactive task recording.
  • Familiarity with statutory compliance requirements.
  • Effective communication skills in English (both written and verbal).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and influence team members.
  • Proven capability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience in managing multiple contractors.
  • Familiarity with the Infor EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) platform.
  • Experience in implementing new CMMS systems.
  • Experience in delivering training or coaching to others.
