The List - The Services Business Network is seeking a highly skilled and resourceful School Estates Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Estates team, you will be responsible for maintaining the school's grounds, buildings, and facilities to ensure a safe and inspiring environment for students and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Grounds Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including grass cutting, pruning, and weeding.
- Deliver small projects, such as repairing fences, gates, and other infrastructure.
- Building Repairs
- Carry out non-specialist interior and external DIY maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist with minor building repairs, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
- Security
- Contribute to the wider security team, ensuring the school's premises are secure and safe.
- Operations
- Provide practical support to the ongoing running of the school, including assisting with events and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Repair and Maintenance
- Have experience in a practical job, preferably in a maintenance or repair role.
- Hold relevant qualifications or certifications, such as a City & Guilds qualification in maintenance or repair.
- Work Safely
- Be capable of working safely with a range of tools and non-specialist machinery.
- Fitness
- Be fit and active, with the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Team Player
- Enjoy being part of a small, friendly, and committed team.
- Be flexible and willing to help other members of the Estates team.
- Responsibility
- Be confident to work unsupervised, with minimal supervision.
- Be happy to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities.

Working Hours and Pay
This is a full-time appointment, working 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, plus one in every three Saturdays. Working hours can be adjusted to avoid rush hour commuting. There is plenty of opportunity for paid overtime work if desired. A comprehensive benefits package is included, including pension and free lunches.
