Software Engineer - EventMAP

EventMAP is a leading provider of innovative technologies in scheduling, optimization, and automation. We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our development team, working on cutting-edge platforms using modern techniques and research.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software services and features, collaborating with team members to drive innovation
  • Participate in Agile software development processes, contributing to continuous improvement and best practices
  • Engage in code reviews with fellow engineers to ensure high-quality code and testing
  • Take ownership of development areas, producing high-quality code and tests, and mentoring junior engineers
  • Research and assess new technologies to drive innovation and improvement
  • Perform unit, integration, and automated testing to ensure software quality
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring timely completion
  • Adhere to best practices for information security, scalability, and software system design
  • Collaborate with clients to drive project direction and provide expert advice on software lifecycle
Requirements:
  • Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of software development experience in one or more general-purpose programming languages
  • Experience in mentoring junior engineers and leading team members
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English, with excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, C#, or other OOP languages
  • Experience with front-end JS frameworks (React, Vue)
  • Experience working in a team to design and implement web applications
  • Test-driven development (TDD) experience
  • Experience developing applications and APIs using C# or Java
  • Experience working with Git and related source control management tools
  • Spring framework (Java) or.NET
  • Cloud computing (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with Linux (bash scripting)
