We are seeking to fill the role of Youth Resilience Support Specialist. This team is dedicated to assisting young individuals dealing with their own or their loved ones' substance-related challenges. The Youth Resilience team operates as part of the Integrated Substance Misuse service.
The role involves documenting your activities, so a penchant for organization and attention to detail is essential. However, the majority of your time will be spent engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds, making a significant difference in their lives. Each day presents new challenges, and we treat every person who approaches our service as an individual, making flexibility, curiosity, and active listening vital skills.

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full-time)
Salary: £27, £31,529.41 based on experience (calculated on full-time hours, pro-rata for part-time)
Contract Type: 12-month fixed-term contract
Key Responsibilities
Role Responsibilities:
Engage with young individuals in a practical and meaningful manner, empowering them to seek ongoing support. Collaborate closely with partners within Youth Justice Services. Conduct holistic assessments to identify needs and develop a collaborative support package for young individuals, including brief interventions, harm reduction strategies, one-on-one sessions, group activities, and clinical support. Perform comprehensive assessments of service users and create individualized care plans that clearly outline how achieving each goal will facilitate progress in addressing substance use and related outcomes. Work in conjunction with the service's Safeguarding Lead to ensure that all issues and concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Conduct risk assessments and develop risk management plans. Be responsive to the needs of young individuals, ensuring that interventions are accessible (e.g., facilitating home visits, collaborating with educational institutions).Candidate Profile:
Proven experience working with young individuals. Awareness of contemporary issues affecting young people. Understanding of safeguarding concerns related to children, young people, and adults. Knowledge of substance use issues. Experience in building strong working relationships with both internal and external partners. Familiarity with working with young individuals who engage in substance use. Experience in delivering training to diverse audiences across various settings.Benefits Offered:
