About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Merton College. As a key member of our therapy department, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with autism and learning disabilities to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct holistic assessments and develop person-centred interventions to support learners with communication, social, and behavioural needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching teams to transfer skills developed at the college to learners' home environments and community/work settings.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based interventions for learners with different communication profiles.
  • Write reports and support plans/communication guidelines for a range of audiences and needs.
Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with experience of assessing learners with autism and learning disabilities. You should have a degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy and be registered with the Health Professions Council. Membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists is desirable.
