An International GCSE Tamil (2017 Specification) Examiner is responsible for evaluating candidates' submissions in line with the established marking criteria, while ensuring compliance with examination protocols and recognition standards. Most evaluations will be conducted online using ePEN, allowing for remote work. However, certain subjects may still require traditional paper-based assessments sent via postal services. A robust understanding of the subject matter is essential for effectively applying the marking criteria. Each examiner will be assigned a specific number of scripts to evaluate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and consistent marking to uphold overall quality standards.
  • Provide sample evaluations to your Team Leader at specified intervals.
  • Adhere to established timelines for marking.
  • Complete all necessary administrative tasks as outlined.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification is necessary.
  • Qualified teaching status is required, with recognition of qualifications from both the UK and international institutions.
  • A minimum of 5 months of part-time teaching experience in the relevant subject area within the last decade is essential.

Essential Competencies:

  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
  • Capability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Extensive subject knowledge to accurately apply the marking criteria.

Additional Information:

  • The marking period occurs during the designated examination timeframe.
