We are seeking a compassionate and patient Adult Support Worker to join our innovative company, dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and responsible care.
You will work to encourage social interaction and community involvement, ensuring that each person feels included and valued. Effective communication is critical, as you'll be liaising with family members, healthcare professionals, and other support staff to provide comprehensive care. Training and development opportunities will be offered to help you grow in your role and deliver the highest standard of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with personal care activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals with household chores, including cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
- Promote independence by encouraging participation in daily activities and decision-making.
- Facilitate recreational activities and social events to enhance quality of life.
- Maintain detailed records of support provided and progress made.
- Attend regular team meetings and training sessions to stay informed and up-to-date.
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all individuals.
- A compassionate and patient manner.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to the varying needs of individuals.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not required.
- Applicants with NVQ Level 2 and experience welcomed, however, if you are looking to make a positive impact on the people's lives but have no experience within the care industry, we still want to hear from you to give you the opportunity to join us as full training is provided. We will offer NVQ upon passing of probation.
