Job Opportunity: Sessional Lecturer Applied Science

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sessional Lecturer to join our team at the School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Professional (STEP). The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching on Level 3 BTEC Applied Science programmes with subject specialisms in Physics or Biology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach and assess students on Level 3 BTEC Applied Science programmes
  • Develop and deliver high-quality teaching and learning materials
  • Contribute to the development of existing and new provision
  • Implement flexible and cost-effective teaching and learning styles
Requirements:
  • Hold a degree or relevant professional qualification in an appropriate subject
  • Have excellent teaching skills and relevant teaching experience on BTEC programmes
  • Be able to support, motivate and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress
  • Have high personal standards and expectations and be aware of academic quality standards
