Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Leader to join our Residential Children's Home in Doncaster. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our children and young people, aged 12-17. You will be responsible for maintaining a homely environment, contributing to meeting each child's physical, emotional, social, and educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the care of our children and young people, ensuring their physical, emotional, social, and educational needs are met.
  • Build positive relationships with children and support their development, ensuring they are kept safe.
  • Work within a team to advocate for children's needs and provide support to less experienced staff.
  • Mentor and develop less experienced staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to provide high-quality care.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma or relevant qualification.
  • Either hold or willing to work towards a Management qualification.
  • Genuine desire to improve lives and promote self-esteem.
  • Excellent communication skills and empathy.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and work flexibly.
  • Leadership qualities and experience of mentoring and supporting less experienced staff.
  • Willingness to learn and go the extra mile.
