About the Role

Gap Personnel is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team in the Port Talbot area. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals with a background in Mechanical Engineering Design to contribute to the development of innovative products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret client specifications and create 3D models and drawings for approval.
  • Develop detailed product drawings for production, ensuring design integrity through Finite Element Analysis.
  • Source and procure necessary materials, collaborating with external structural engineers as needed.
  • Utilize parametric modelling to streamline and enhance the design process, participating in research, development, and new product initiatives.
  • Continuously innovate and improve the existing product line, with a background in civil engineering being a valuable asset.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a pro-active team worker, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. They must operate within the confines of company policy and procedure requirements, including integrity and confidentiality in respect of the business. Abiding by health and safety legislation in respect of themselves and others is essential.

What We Offer

In return for your expertise, the company offers a starting salary of £30,000 per year, with the potential for negotiation depending on experience. This is a Monday to Friday (Day Shift) position, offering a stable and secure work environment.
