We are seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Operations Manager to oversee the end-to-end operations and successful execution of all sea freight imports and exports. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in ocean freight and a strong background in customs clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead a team of 10 professionals to ensure efficient and effective ocean freight operations.
- General day-to-day running of the sea freight office, including warehouse management, health and safety, office maintenance, and employee relations.
- Handle import and export consignments via sea freight, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Oversee team performance, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure high-quality results.
- Collaborate with customs brokers and other authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in ocean freight operations, customs clearance, and international trade regulations.
- Air freight knowledge is an advantage.
- Previous experience as an ocean freight operations manager.
