Position Overview

We are pleased to announce an opportunity to become a key member of the Crisis Resolution and Intensive Support Service (CRISS) within the Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. This service is dedicated to providing urgent psychological assessments and intensive home treatment for individuals facing mental health emergencies. The CRISS service is currently evolving its operational framework following a comprehensive evaluation aimed at enhancing service delivery through locality-based teams.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled psychological practitioner who is passionate about delivering exceptional, user-centered care. This role will be associated with either the East or South locality, collaborating with fellow professionals at similar levels and receiving guidance from a Consultant Psychological Professional who oversees strategic initiatives across the acute care pathway. Additionally, we will be onboarding assistant psychologists to bolster the psychological initiatives within the teams.

Although our service operates around the clock, the psychological practitioner will primarily work during standard business hours from Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality psychological interventions tailored to individual needs.

- Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk evaluations for service users.

- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure cohesive care.

- Support team members in utilizing psychological formulations and person-centered approaches.

- Act as a senior psychological professional within a designated locality, spearheading relevant service enhancement projects.

- Provide supervision and mentorship to other psychological staff as necessary.

- Oversee the work of assistant psychologists.

- Ensure adherence to the Core Fidelity model within the CRISS framework.

- Assist in the implementation of outcome measures and contribute to Trust priorities.

- Facilitate training sessions for colleagues and contribute to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology program as required.

- Offer placements for trainees when appropriate.
