We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Commercial Project Manager to join our team at National Gas Transmission Plc. As a key member of our Commercial team, you will play a critical role in delivering our Project Union Business plan, which aims to create a hydrogen transmission network in Great Britain.
About the Role:
As a Senior Commercial Project Manager, you will be responsible for providing expert contractual insight into our Construction projects across the National Transmission System. You will work closely with our project teams to ensure that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial strategies to support the delivery of our Project Union Business plan
- Provide expert contractual advice to project teams to ensure compliance with NEC Two Stage Contract requirements
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and stakeholders to achieve best value for the company
- Manage and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors and their juniors to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver commercial excellence
- Contribute to the development of our contracts team into a centre of excellence
Requirements:
- NEC Two Stage Contract experience
- Contract negotiation skills
- Degree qualified
- MRICS or CICES chartership
- Major programme experience in MEP/Pipelines/Civil Engineering
- Strong communication skills
