About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client's Rail & Depots business in the West Midlands. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing commercial and contractual matters on multiple projects, ensuring successful delivery and effective management of surveyors and/or assistant surveyors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial and contractual aspects of projects, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of surveyors and/or assistant surveyors, providing guidance and support to achieve project goals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Prepare and present project reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Accredited degree or equivalent in a relevant field, such as construction management, civil engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in the civil engineering sector, with a strong understanding of commercial and contractual principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
