Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Delivery Officer to join our Repairs and Servicing Team at West Lancashire Borough Council.

About the Role:

As a Compliance Delivery Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the council's housing stock meets all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements related to fire safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Compliance Delivery Manager (Housing) in delivering compliance with fire safety regulations across the council's housing stock.
  • Ensure that all relevant legislation, regulations, and guidance are adhered to, and best practice is implemented.
  • Work closely with the Repairs & Servicing Team to provide support and ensure that statutory obligations are met.
  • Oversee contractors responsible for fire safety measures to ensure compliance.
  • Lead the fire risk assessment programme, evaluate identified hazards, and take necessary actions to reduce or eliminate them.
  • Be the subject matter expert on fire safety for refurbishment and programmed maintenance work related to fire safety installations.
