MEICA Project Engineer Job Description

As a MEICA Project Engineer, you will be joining a leading water and wastewater specialist contractor with offices throughout the UK and Ireland. Based in the Northern Ireland office, you will be part of a team working on a variety of water projects, including new installations, refurbishments, and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical management of on-site activities
  • Oversee planning and programming
  • Liaise with design teams and site installation works
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental policies, QMS, customer requirements, and general duty of care
  • Monitor progress with respect to cost and quality
  • Prepare progress reports for presentation to the Contracts Manager
  • Attend site progress meetings, value engineering workshops, and other relevant events
Requirements:
  • Industry-applicable ONC/HNC/B.Eng or equivalent third-level qualification
  • Desire to work within the wastewater or water industry
  • Commercial and contractual awareness
  • Good IT skills, including MS Project, Word, and Excel
  • CAD experience is advantageous
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
