Key Responsibilities
  • Daily Reporting: Provide accurate and timely reports on breakdowns and PPM activities to inform maintenance planning and optimization.
  • Repair Work Prioritization: Prioritize repair work to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Machine Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze machine performance to identify areas for improvement and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Collaboration with Planning Department: Work closely with the planning department to negotiate machine availability and ensure seamless production operations.
  • Failure Monitoring: Identify and address potential failures to prevent downtime and maintain production continuity.
  • Support for External Contractors: Provide technical support to external contractors as needed to ensure successful completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Technical Support for Production: Offer technical assistance to production teams as required to resolve equipment-related issues.
  • Housekeeping and Documentation: Maintain high standards of housekeeping and documentation, adhering to a clean-as-you-go policy and ensuring accurate completion of paperwork and work sign-offs.
Key Areas of Focus
  • Engineering Activities: Carry out routine engineering activities, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • PPM Plans and Completion Rates: Achieve and maintain high PPM plans and completion rates to optimize production efficiency.
  • Minimizing Downtime: Implement strategies to minimize engineering downtime and ensure maximum production availability.
  • GMP and Safety Standards: Maintain the highest standards of GMP and safety within the engineering department.
  • Engineering Processes: Implement and ensure compliance with engineering processes and procedures within the team.
  • Engineering Audit Standards: Maintain the highest engineering audit standards at all times.
  • Engineering Skills and Knowledge: Ensure that engineering skills and knowledge are maintained at the highest level.
Requirements
  • Relevant Engineering Qualification: Hold a relevant engineering qualification and be able to demonstrate competency in all forms of isolation, electrical safety, and safe panel entry.
  • FMCG Operations Experience: Have experience working in FMCG operations and be familiar with the challenges and requirements of this sector.
  • PC Literacy: Be proficient in using computer-based maintenance systems and have a good understanding of IT systems.
  • Machine Maintenance and Repair: Be able to strip and reassemble machines, complete machine size change procedures, and make adjustments as required.
