As the firm continues to expand, the internal risk and compliance team is enhancing its capabilities, leading to the establishment of a new role for a Data Privacy Specialist to support the DPO.

Plans are underway to implement a comprehensive automated privacy management system, and the new Data Privacy Specialist will collaborate with the DPO to ensure adherence to UK GDPR regulations. Responsibilities will include managing the automated tool, leveraging software capabilities for data subject access requests (DSARs), conducting audits, and overseeing centralized data inventory and mapping. Additionally, the Specialist will work closely with the DPO on reviewing privacy policies, facilitating employee training sessions, conducting GDPR workshops, assessing new vendor compliance, and managing data protection investigations.

This position is crucial for the firm and will provide essential support and expertise to the internal team. We are looking for a data privacy professional or legal expert with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of GDPR and privacy legislation. Familiarity with IT systems and data security practices is highly desirable. Knowledge of legal practice regulations and compliance is advantageous but not mandatory for consideration.
