Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Investment Manager at JM Finn. As a key member of our Investment Management department, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to our investment service activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to investment service activities, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion of tasks.
- Resolve administrative queries with clients and Investment Administration, demonstrating excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Be responsible for the new client account opening process, ensuring accurate and efficient onboarding.
- Check contract details against dealing data, maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Draft client reports and correspondence that accompany valuations, dealing letters, or investment manager recommendations and responses to ad hoc client requests or queries.
- Prepare payment, transfer, and other Investment Administration forms for investment manager sign-off, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor existing and potential investments, staying up-to-date with market trends and developments.
- Contribute to the firm's investment process by participating in morning meetings, monthly stock selection, and asset allocation meetings, and researching collectives.
- Studying for/passed the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma as appropriate, to complete qualification within 12 months of commencing role via the apprenticeship scheme.
- Up to 1 year's financial services experience, with a demonstrable interest in City Markets and Private Client Fund Management.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in relevant software applications.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Knowledge of financial markets and instruments, with a strong understanding of investment products and services.
