About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical First Assistant to join our friendly and expert multidisciplinary theatre team at Practice Plus Group. As a Surgical First Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standard of patient care and treatment in our orthopaedic theatre.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assisting surgeons during operations, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and working closely with the theatre team to ensure seamless patient care. Your expertise and experience will be essential in providing high-quality treatment and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse or Registered Operating Department Practitioner
  • Surgical First Assistant Qualification
  • Proven experience of working in a theatre as a scrub practitioner
  • Knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic team
  • Up-to-date with current research and developments in theatre practice
  • Sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department
