About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team at Amazon Ads. As a Data Scientist, you will play a key role in developing and implementing machine learning models that drive business outcomes and improve customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and Develop Machine Learning Models: Design, prototype, and test various machine learning models to solve complex business problems and improve advertising outcomes.
  2. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software engineering teams to integrate machine learning models into large-scale production systems and ensure seamless deployment.
  3. Drive Experimentation and Innovation: Promote a culture of experimentation and applied science within Amazon Ads, driving innovation and improvement in advertising solutions.
  4. Communicate Complex Ideas: Effectively communicate complex technical ideas and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  5. Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay current with the latest advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence, applying this knowledge to drive business outcomes and improve customer experiences.
Requirements
  • Master's or PhD in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, or Related Field
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning Methods
  • Experience with Large-Scale Distributed Systems and Cloud Computing
  • Strong Programming Skills in Java, C++, or Python
  • Excellent Communication and Collaboration Skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Modeling Tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy
  • Experience with Large-Scale Distributed Systems such as Hadoop, Spark
  • Experience with Conducting Research in a Corporate Setting
