Job Title: Asset Management Associate

Ares Management Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our European Credit Group as an Asset Management Associate. This role will provide investor relations support, including ongoing fund reporting, investor presentation support, and market/competitor research analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop strong working relationships with internal subject matter experts, including Portfolio Management and Finance teams.
  2. Produce monthly/quarterly portfolio reports for investors, working with Finance and Portfolio Management teams to collate relevant data.
  3. Liaise with Finance, Portfolio Management, Legal, and Compliance teams to respond to investor requests, including audit confirmations, financial statement and fee data requests.
  4. Drive process for creating responses to investor questionnaires, due diligence, and ad hoc requests for existing and potential clients.
  5. Create and edit marketing investor materials for co-investment and funds.
  6. Maintain quantitative and qualitative key metrics on competitors.
  7. Build and maintain client materials and various prospect/marketing materials, updating market and fund specific data within existing materials.
  8. Take on ad hoc projects and support all other teammates with their work as needed.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a related field.
  2. Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance.
  3. Fixed income or loan/credit experience preferred but not required.
  4. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  5. Exceptional attention to detail, placing a high priority on accuracy and organisation.
  6. Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  7. Problem solver with ability to research solutions and suggest resolutions.
  8. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set priorities, multi-task, and monitor own workload to meet aggressive deadlines.
  9. Takes initiative and has a strong work ethic.
  10. Creative, ready to think outside the box and add input to improving existing workflows.
  11. Proficiency in financial accounting and quantitative analysis skills.
  12. Demonstrated experience working in a team environment with multiple tasks.
