Thoracic Nurse Consultant

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Specialist Thoracic Nurse Consultant to join our team at Finegreen. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate nurse to make a real difference in the lives of patients with lung health issues.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a high-quality Targeted Lung Health Check (TLHC) service. This will involve working closely with the team to develop policies and procedures, staff training programs, and competency frameworks. The ideal candidate will have experience in commissioning new services and have a strong clinical background in thoracic nursing.

• Develop policies and procedures for the nursing aspect of the TLHC program
• Develop staff training programs and competency frameworks for thoracic nursing staff
• Assist in the commissioning of the Patients Administration System
• Advise and assist in recruitment for thoracic nurses
• Review IR(ME)ER training program for thoracic nurses for low-dose CT scans
• Review ARTP training courses for spirometry on mobile units
• Review training programs for thoracic nurses for smoking cessation advice
• Support tender submissions for TLHC programs

• Current registration with the NMC with relevant post-registration qualification in thoracic, cancer care, or a related field
• Experience in commissioning new services from a clinical perspective
• Senior role experience in recruiting specialist nursing teams
