Job Description

**Regional Delivery Manager**

We are seeking an experienced Regional Delivery Manager to join our team at Evri. As a Regional Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for driving the performance of a team of Community Delivery Managers, ensuring that our clients and customers receive an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for regional performance targets and customer satisfaction through the guiding, coaching and managing of a team of Community Delivery Managers.
  • Influencing the build of and responsible for the delivery and forecast of regional budget and controls, including courier fees, contractor spend, ad-hoc payments, team expenses and over-rides.
  • Maximising service coverage of courier deliveries and collections within the region through the successful and timely recruitment of couriers and their engagement, retention and successful change management.
  • Accountable for the resource planning of couriers through pipeline review, advertising and reviews with the Resource Planner to ensure round coverage is in place.
  • Through a team of Community Delivery Managers drive courier performance to ensure the success of a seven day operation.
  • Responsible for the delivery unit estate within their region, including the location, procurement and management of delivery units & resourcing.
  • Management of service provision through service conversations with the delivery unit controller to ensure that Evri deliver a professional and sustainable Delivery Organisation which is focussed on quality, service and productivity.
  • Responsible for building and maintaining a strong, productive and professional local union relationship with the GMB to ensure Evri maintains a positive relationship with the union and continues to be at the forefront of self-employed status recognition for our self-employed couriers.
  • Through setting and implementing best practice and adherence to the Code of Conduct and SOPs ensuring that the work environment is safe for themselves and others.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with their peer in the depot, namely the Depot General Manager, and key stakeholder across the organisation through effective communication skills resulting in high performance in the end to end parcel journey.
  • Accountable for customer complaint escalation management and timely resolution to ensure customer satisfaction through liaising with the Customer Services Team and leadership of Community Delivery Managers.

Requirements:

  • Current UK Driving licence
  • Level 3 Management Qualification or equivalent
  • IOSH Qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience of coaching, supporting and motivating colleagues
  • Problem solving and planning effective contingencies and solutions
  • Experience of maintaining local union relationships
  • Previous experience of managing an agile team
  • Knowledge of self-employed courier model
  • Previous experience of setting and managing a budget
  • Customer Focused approach
  • Competent negotiation skills
  • Ability to adapt to different styles and behaviours
