We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Primary Care Physician to become a vital member of our healthcare team within a correctional facility. This role is situated in a secure environment, providing care to a diverse patient population. The facility is conveniently located for those commuting from nearby urban areas.
Work Schedule
This position requires availability on Mondays, encompassing 3 sessions totaling 12 hours, from 8 AM to 9 PM. Additional hours may be available on a flexible basis.
Compensation
In this part-time capacity, the annual remuneration can reach up to £120,000 per annum (FTE), contingent upon experience.

Eligibility Requirements
Candidates must possess the legal right to work in the UK. Due to the sensitive nature of this role, employment offers will be contingent upon successful completion of additional vetting and security assessments.
Key Responsibilities
As a Primary Care Physician, your duties will include:
- Conducting face-to-face assessments of patients, addressing their medical concerns through diagnosis, investigation, and treatment
- Regularly reviewing and managing medications, including monitoring repeat prescriptions
- Providing medical guidance and expert advice on primary care matters to the broader healthcare team

Qualifications Required
- MBChB or MBBS
- Registration with the GMC and inclusion on the GP Performers List
- Experience in community general practice as a Primary Care Physician
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Ability to engage with patients who have a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or willingness to pursue these qualifications
