Job Title: Confectionary Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Confectionary Assistant to join our team at James Hall & Co. LTD. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for preparing and packing a range of confectionary goods.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced confectionary department, where you will be working with a multi-skilled team to create a wide range of fresh cream, deli, fancy, ambient cakes, tarts, and pastries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production and packing of cakes, tarts, and confectionary
  • Manufacture safe, quality food by following all relevant Health, Safety, Environment, and Food Safety standards and working practices
  • General housekeeping and maintaining the cleanliness of the production areas
  • Moving equipment such as trolleys and racks safely
  • Adhering to site processes and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operation to produce and deliver unbeatable quality products
  • Completing of documents and records accurately
  • Working in the Cold room of Production
Requirements
  • To be a positive and organized individual
  • Experience of working within a similar role is desirable
  • Level 2 in food safety and hygiene would be preferable, but training can be given
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • To be enthusiastic, committed, and self-motivated
  • Have a positive outlook and enjoy working as part of a team, leading by example
  • Good written and verbal skills with a good level of numeracy
  • Ability to work in a safe manner and consider the safety of others
  • Willing to work a flexible shift pattern which includes weekends and Bank Holidays
