About the Role

We are seeking a talented and ambitious Associate to join our Pensions Disputes and Contentious Trusts team at Taylor Root. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling complex and high-profile cases, working closely with experienced partners and senior associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage in a wide range of disputes arising from pension schemes, including professional negligence claims, rectification and construction claims, judicial review and public law issues, and contract and investment disputes.
  • Develop expertise in alternative dispute resolution and mediation, as well as gain experience in court proceedings.
  • Prepare and draft clear, concise legal documentation, manage matters with supervision, and delegate tasks to trainees and paralegals.
  • Conduct legal research, contribute to legal articles, and build an internal and external network of contacts.
  • Participate in business development and profile-raising events.
Requirements
  • England and Wales qualified lawyer with between zero and two years' PQE.
  • Strong technical background in black letter law.
  • Highly accurate, with a keen eye for detail and a focus on precision.
  • Confident in verbal and numerical communication skills.
  • Eager to develop a deep understanding of the law, with a particular interest in contentious work within the pensions sector.
  • Personable, with a positive attitude and a strong team ethic.
